Some people, Christians and non-Christians alike consider capitalism the sole answer in the political scene of this day and age. Many disregard the consequences an excessively strict (or loose) adherence to capitalism can cause. I think we need to consider the political scene to be wider. More diverse. Are we truly "Christians"?
Truly?
We are, as Christians called to be peace makers, to be light and salt to the world. We were called to lead exemplary lives, taking up our crosses every day. Dying to sin, every day. Turning the other cheek, when a robber asks us for money, to give him more than he asks for. We were told by God Himeself in Jesus Christ His Son to love all. Even our enemies. Even those who persecute us.

Torture and support of torture. Is it OK?

Understandable support

There was a fringe candidate for the position as governor in Minnesota (Jonathon Sharkey AKA "The Impaler") who played on his satanic beliefs during his campaign by promising that if he became governor, terrorists wold be impaled, and that there would be harsh physical punishment for any and all crime. It is obvious where he got his idea - he even borrowed his nickname from Count Vlad the Third. Better known as Count Dracula....
