I'm a 23 year old man currently stationed in Georgia with the US Army. I was brought up in the church, mostly as a conservative Presbyterian (PCA, ARP, now OPC).

I truly believe the scriptures- all of them- but I've always had trouble living the way I KNOW God wants me too. A lot of it comes from the work situations I've been in over the years, construction of various types and now the military, but that's not the main issue. I never put the effort into living or acting like a follower...

But selfishness may cause one lose

Afraid to face The Light

Lest salvation be plagued with doubt
Confusion troubles man
Lest empty be the cross of clout
Obstructing Heaven’s plan

Lest ‘You did that’ and ‘I did this’
Becoming standard code
Lest we Jesus as God dismiss
And leave The Narrow Road

Much foolishness is taught today
Blasphemy’s common place
So many hearing, fall away
To wander in disgrace
