Hello everyone!

I know I haven't been around much over the past year but a lot has been going on in my life. There's been a decent mix of good, bad and of course, the ugly. It really wouldn't be life I guess without the ugly. It just comes with the territory.

I'm a chess journalist on Chess.com under the name "ChessMarkstheSpot," and it's been an eventful time there as a lot of things have happened, 98% of them good. I've been doing my computer game thing as well...

You have no idea how excited that I am that school will be out soon. It is the last week of exams, and graduation is on Monday next week. I do not believe that the students understand how we as teachers need the summer break just as much, if not more than they do. My friend Johanna (we have the same name) gave birth this morning. She has a little boy who is beautiful and healthy. It was the first news that I heard this morning. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for years, but because I'm very anemic, we've had many miscarriages. It made us sad, but we decided on adoption to grow our family.

I have to say that the first time my friend Johanna showed me her sonogram picture of her baby, I was envious. I didn't understand why...
