I remember when the recession first hit and the economic forecasts were doom and gloom. Then after about a year some optimism seemed to surface and financial analysts were predicting positive returns and speedy recovery. Well that was over 3 years ago now and the doom and gloom has returned. According to recent forecasts from the U.S. the economic recovery has slowed and unemployment rates are expected to stay high while the central bank keeps long term interest rates low to encourage consumer spending....

I was born with a spiritual gift. I can see demons/angels/ghosts. I am 13. My grandma believes I am blessed with the gift but the demons scare me at night. WHAT SHOULD I DO!!

We received an email from our second son today. It's so exciting- he's up in Galgary giving a speech to a math convention, and his university here in the U.S. is paying for the whole trip.

He wrote. "Apparently there is a jackrabbit infestation, Those critters are everywhere!

This is a very fragrant university. There's a lot of lilacs and the smell is quite nice.

The idea that Canadians say "a boot" (for about) every other word is just a groundless...

I was privileged to serve my community as a Law Enforcement Officer for over 17 years. During that time I had great times and not so great times. One of the most important aspects of the job is being paired up with a partner that you’re compatible with. Most times, compatibility isn’t an issue, but on rare occasions there are times when 2 officers just don’t mesh well together. I’ve had to work with partners who under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t have chosen to work with.
