Each of these: ships, trains, vehicle and many others have a definite course charted for them to travel. You would never find an aircraft moving on the railroads. Nor would you find a train destined for New York from Florida heading towards the West Coast because of unforeseen circumstances or difficulties, and then making a turn somewhere into the Nevada desert, continue from there to Montana, and back across the country, to New York its original destination.

I am in a relationship with a guy that my parents do not like, because he is not baptist or Christian, he is Catholic. She wants me to invite him to church, but I want to respect his religion. My mom thinks this will be a problem later on. Any thoughts?
