"Have you felt like giving up lately?" by David Wilkerson


happened to glance on my bookshelf today and found this book... David Wilkerson died recently and so in some ways it means more.

As I started reading it this book was deeply moving.

I can sincerely recommend it even though I have only started reading it, the message and encouragement in it as I've read it tonight is one I needed to hear. so much so that I am mentioning it here...

We’ve moneychangers in God’s house
A stench to God on high
Upon the flesh just like a louse
They’ll suck God’s children dry

For gain, some sell their personal view
Like wolves they’ll seek their prey
Satan’s servants disguised in queue
Just like in Jesus’ day

So loud we hear their pious cries
Dressed in purple and red
Instead of doves they’ll sell white lies
This clan of walking dead

Wait not until you’re old and grey
Till sickness comes to dwell
Seek Jesus now whilst yet you may
Seek out Salvation’s Well

God sees each heart each filthy soul
Each thought He can perceive
He longs to save to make all whole
Who in His Son believe

Wait not until your old and frail
Till dim have grown your eye
Wait not until your entrails fail
Until you fear to die

Wait not till wisdom comes...
