At our Christmas Eve candlelight service, we read Luke 2:7 and sang "Away in the Manger." Although I've been singing the song since I was a child, I still was not familiar with one translation of the scripture:

My sister, who lives with my husband and I, recently was fired from her job. It has left me, at times, frantically deciding how I can possibly earn some extra money to cover costs of daily life, bills, and paying for hubby's college education. Last night after I got home from Christmas I was very restless.
I ended up crying and deep crying over and over for all the years of pain, deep crying reaching for God from those places of pain.
I was wrestling physically too, moving around, wrestling. At one point I was so restless I was saying to God 'what is this, what is this?' Didnt know what was going on. I got out of bed to go get a Bible I was that restless. There was a book about walking with God that was by my pillow and...
