I remember when I first read about the Proverbs 31
woman. I had heard a great deal about her, but had never read those passages for myself. Inside was a description of a woman so different from the one I had been led to expect. The Proverbs 31 woman is a strong woman, not a doormat, not a slave, not a mousy little prairie muffin.
What a mighty lesson about the importance of reading the Bible for myself rather than allowing others to tell me what it says!
