Had Buzz Aldrin (the 2nd man on the moon) shut the eagle lander door behind him when he stepped out onto the surface both he and Alan would have been trapped on the Moon as those smart boffins at NASA never thought to put a door handle on the outside of the capsule.

Interesting thoughts from youth (I am getting old...). Liked several perspectives and ideas from various posters:

the multitude of denominations/churches could be by design in order to provide a suitable match for all sorts of personalities.
