I use a little science in life but science is corrupted by money, politics and power
This is exactly what I mean. You have zero concept of what actually happens in science so you throw about this nonsense about corruption. Your posts aren't getting better.

I usually avoid debate. My apologies.

Changing things to correct incomplete or erroneous conclusions IS the greatest strength of science.

Too bad they can't correct them ahead of time, isn't it?

You ain't my friend. You certainly don't act like one. Trashing my profession and all.

Your profession determines who your friends are, does it?

It's the population bomb that's making the world worse. Not science.
I love people. I want them to live. God wants them to live. He promised that although our body dies we will never die because we are joined to God's spirit and are reborn. We can't die once our body dies. That's why Jesus died for us and was resurrected. We do likewise.

@Tuur

Since you seem to have a hard time in understanding the difference between being willfully ignorant and the plain not knowing type of ignorant, there is no better example of willful ignorance as found in this thread.
Science is based on self-corrections as any educated person would know but @HopeSings makes the bold claim science instead is getting progressively worse and is asked to back up his/her claims.

This was HopeSings’ response.

HopeSings said

Look around. What's good? Is disease wiped out?

People hate each other as well. It's not getting better. Nothing is getting better or will get better.
Does this response make any sense, it already has the earmark of wilful ignorance?
Giving this person a second chance for an explanation, the following graph was submitted which seems to contradict the idea science is getting progressively worse when it comes to dealing with diseases.

These were HopeSings’ separate responses.
HopeSings said

The world of getting worse. Hate and debate. It's all the world knows

Parents who abort their own children can live longer thanks to science. I see nothing to boast in that. Gang violence will never get better nor greed, envy, lust or contention.

I see liberals talk about how bad society is when it comes to banning guns but everything is just fine otherwise. They contradict themselves
These are random incoherent statements which is a trademark of that other individual I have referred to in this thread.
If HopeSings had bothered at the very least to become familiar with the definition of science, there might have been hope we would have been spared this random nonsense but instead he/she chose to be willfully ignorant.

Willful ignorance is a form of dishonesty as the perpetrator is very much aware of their lack of knowledge but chooses to participate in the form of random responses, misinformation, disinformation, ad hom attacks against individuals and libelous attacks smearing the reputation of scientists which is all too frequent in this forum.

I love people as well. In the same breath, there are too many of us. That's what's making the world worse, again, not science.

Nothing is getting better. You can't stop disease and death nor can we stop the hate that people have for each other
A pervasively negative attitude is very unhealthy,
as well as unrealistic.

If one believes the world is filled with hate and death and destruction, believing that there is a steady and inevitable decline in health, well being, civic duty, and any positive aspect of society, then it will not be difficult to find confirmation of such beliefs. When it has advanced to the point where one is unable to see any of the positives and to actively deny their demonstrable existence then it is very sad. I find it difficult to associate a "love for people" with such a world view. Bleak.

Fortunately there are enough people in the world who hold a positive view of the future, no matter how challenging attaining it may be. I choose to walk with them as I know do you, even though it has cost you personally.

Science / modern medicine came to my aid
when i would have died at age 22 from injuries and infection.

The assault left me with ptsd, and a bleak outlook
on life, on everything. Suicidal....

It's been a difficult journey back to finding hope, joy, and
goodness in life.

I feel sorry for those who've lost their optimism and
only see doom and gloom.

I'll put in my version of prayer for their recovery.

Yup.

They look forward to ...

Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

... no matter how challenging attaining it may be.

Yup.

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

I choose to walk with them ...

I wish you would.

... as I know do you, even though it has cost you personally.

... um.

I think we've all been there at one time and not known it.

But thanks be to the Great Physician, who imparts His knowledge to our doctors, we're here today discussing it.

Chemicals and atom bombs are not my idea of good science.
FYI Everything you touch, smell, drink, eat (organic 100% natural or anything) is made op of 100% Chemicals.
That 100% pure water you're drinking? It's a Chemical.

Thanks.
It's not exactly a topic for "cocktail party" chatter,
but i feel there's a need to speak if it as appropriate.

On a personal level there is among other things
that my silence and submission means he wins.

If in any way mine is a helpful example of
finding my way back to valuing myself, and appreciating the wonderful
world we are able to so briefly enjoy, it's worth it
to revisit that dark and terrible time, show that
finding another way can be done.

And it's so worthwhile!

I think that's her point.

Everything STARTED OUT as pure.

Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

But look at it today.
