Let's give her the benefit of the doubt and say it was necessary (I think that point is arguable). The fact is, she's proud of it. It's like a badge of honor that she put in her political advertisement (book) to show what kind of person she is. She didn't seem sad about putting Cricket down. She hated these animals, which is evident in the way she talks about them. Someone can grow up on a farm and still be inhumane. She relished in killing these animals, which is gross, much less questionable in terms of character. But, of course, that doesn't matter for the new GOP.

What is truly absurd is that liberals appear to care more about a 14 month old dog that had killed a farmer's chickens than that of the lives of unborn babies.

I’m pro-life and I’m not ok with killing puppies.

As a lifelong Nebraskan, The Dakotas (both South Dakota and North Dakota) will always be near and dear to my heart. Please do not look down on these two INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL states for the actions of a few. I go to South Dakota at least once a year. It is my dream that I will retire in Eastern South Dakota in my favorite town of all time. No place made me happier than that small town in Eastern South Dakota.

I would think that's the default position for decent people. I suspect even most pro-abortion people oppose killing puppies.

Yeah. When that happens, it's not the dog, but the owner. She was frustrated because she did a horrible job of training the dog (and it's a breed that takes training well), so she got angry and shot it. Because she was angry, she didn't notice that people were watching her, and so she made up a story to get ahead of the consequences. And (as conservative commentators said) she really made it worse for herself.
