Maybe this isn't exactly new but it seems like it. I hear preachers talking about financial blessing, physical healing, hell, or prophecy.

Instead of all that, teach and give out literature about the commands of love, forgiveness and mercy. This is the pure gospel. Right? The rest is mostly nonsense the way its taught.

And leave the politics in the rubbish pile of contentious and worldly things that we count as a loss, like Paul did.

No, there is only one gospel that points a person to God's free gift of Eternal Life. Which is belief in Jesus, now that is good news.

What did Jesus mean when he said forgive and you will be forgiven? What did James mean when he said to judge by the law of liberty and to judge with mercy? Is that bad news? Is love not good news?

Ephesians 5:9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),

I had an interesting thought just now. We give what we want. We want forgiveness and mercy and love. Naturally we will want to show it to others as well.

Paul did not leave out politics. He said we should pray for the king. He knew that King David had been a good king.

There is a place to discuss a variety of these things. Sometimes, when things get heated, we should set aside the controversy and focus on love and unity.

But it is valuable to discuss the many issues that are in God's word. And Scriptures do address things like prosperity, miraculous healing, Hell and prophecy. If they are in the Bible God saw them as necessary for Christians to discuss.

Some of these things get well out of balance. In that case I sympathize with you, though to correct the problems we have to address them. Though some will never receive correction, some will. But we have to be willing to speak out.

God destroyed Israel. He never wanted them to have a king but Jesus alone. You compare the king of kings, Jesus our Lord, to Trump and Biden?

I'm not a servant of men. I don't serve Trump and Biden. I am a king under the king of kings. As president I obey them but I don't follow them. I'm my own king and I have the king of kings. Why do i need them? They don't seem like mature Christians to me but infants.

I agree to pray for Trump and Biden and all leaders but we don't follow them.

Jesus was addressing believers and their relationship with God in a forgiveness position, a Father child relationship.

If believers (children of God) want forgiveness for sins they commit as a child in God's family. Then they must also forgive people who wrong them, just as God will forgive the believer, when they wrong God by sinning.

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

There is only one gospel that gives people God's free gift of Eternal Life (salvation) which is belief in Jesus. If a person has not believed in Jesus, then: forgiveness, love, mercy account for nothing. They are still without the Life of God and eventually will end up in the lake of Fire.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

In my view Trump is far better than Biden, and will vote that way. Trump's position is more Christian and favors Christianity more. If we want more of a Christian society we should vote our conscience. Participation in the process is not evil. Even prayer is a participation in the process.

Neither are good for the church. Neither are apostles like Paul. None follow Paul.

You suggest that we force people to obey God. Paul said that we don't judge outsiders.

God has us where we are. We need to deal with that.

You think apostles like Paul are not good for the church? If that's what you're saying, you're out in left field. I have no clue what you meant by that, or if you're simply miscommunicating?

Where did I say that? The only time we force outsiders is when they invade our country or challenge us militarily.

No I'm saying that we are not followers of the apostles but we should he.
